The Tea plant is an evergreen of the Camellia Family, which is growing in China, Tibet and northern India. There are two varieties of the plant. The small one is called camellia sinesis, thrives in mountain regions of China and Japan. The bigger one is called Camellia assamica, grows best in the tropical climates in Northeast India and the Szechuan and unnan provinces of China. The plant produces dark green, shiny leaves and small, white blossoms.
